Just started reading "Feel good productivity", a fascinating book by Ali Abdall. Now, while it might not unravel revolutionary esoteric secrets, it does invite us to ponder over simple truths that we all can observe in our everyday lives. Plus, it dishes out some pretty amusing insights, which I'd love to share with you.

Ever pondered  over the thought of work being a bit of a laugh? Many of us likely don't look at our jobs as something to "enjoy". According to Abdaal, the secret to productivity isn’t discipline, but joy. If we can make our work feel good, then productivity takes care of itself.

Remember the song "In every job that must be done" from Mary Poppins? It tells us that "for every job that must be done, there is an element of fun. You find the fun and... SNAP! The job's a game!" A cheeky little song, but it does raise a good point - how can we shift our view of work to something quite upbeat and productive?

Ali Abdall in his book champions a similar outlook. He urges readers to find the "fun" in their jobs and work roles. Abdall thinks we often focus on the downside of our work, which sidelines the sense of fun and achievement that can come from it.

Both Mary Poppins and Ali Abdall think a change in perspective can turn something seen as a chore into something quite amusing and satisfying. Fancy if we started seeing work not as a bother, but an opportunity to learn, grow, and have a laugh?

As I haven't quite reached the end of the book yet, there's likely a lot more insights and chuckles to come. Once I've turned the last page and fully digested Abdall's view on work and fun, I'll be sure to write a complete review.
